Debating forces the brain to weigh evidence, counter arguments, and generate fresh ideas. This strengthens the prefrontal cortex — the part of the brain that makes trailblazers question instead of follow.

Constructing an argument activates working memory networks. Children learn to hold multiple perspectives at once — boosting focus and recall far beyond rote learning.
